Bryan Fennell

Bryan currently works as the Recreation Team Leader for Coillte, the state forest agency, and has a strong background in rural recreation, trail development, and community engagement. Previously, he worked as a Rural Recreation Officer in both Wicklow and Leitrim, and throughout his career Bryan has played a pivotal role in enhancing Ireland’s outdoor infrastructure, supporting initiatives like the National Walks Scheme, and collaborating with stakeholders across tourism, environmental, and local government sectors. His expertise spans mountaineering, water sports, forestry, and sustainable trail development, and he has been a key contributor to projects that balance outdoor recreation with biodiversity and landowner cooperation.
